ULTRASOUND: Dilated bile duct.Longitudinal scan through the liver hilar region. Typical double channel sign. A dilated common bile duct (between calipers)lies anterior to the portal vein. Usually the duct is much smaller than the portal vein. Now it appears larger than the portal vein. A distal common bile duct stone (not seen by the ultrasound)was present. |
