SLIDE TRAY #7

X-RAY: Normal pulmonary vascularity. PA chest film. The lung markings stretch branching and tapering almost symmetrically bilaterally from the hilum to the periphery. The markings in the upper lung fields appear sparser and thinner than the mid and lower part of the lung. The blood will distribute more homogeneously with no difference in lung fields when the patient is lying down. But it still has some gravity effect to show dominant blood flow at the down side of the lung (confirmed by CT and MRI).
